Troy Dunn - The Locator 

Callers and visitors to our OmniTrace web site have been saying that Troy Dunn - The Locator was on Dr. Phil yesterday. 

Troy Dunn - The Locator has been in the business of reuniting birth parents and adoptee (s) for about twenty years.  As a matter of fact, he helped his own mom, Katie Dunn an adoptee, find her birth mother.  What could be better than that?

    I’m trying to locate my family. I was born in Elizabeth New Jersey in 1958 to Herbert Charles Fuller and Joan Conroy and was awarded to the state of Maine by my mother at the age of 8 and I grew up in Boys Town. My oldest brother Alan, now deceased, was my only contact over the years and I’ve never been contacted by any of my other 12 siblings but would like to find out where they are and get acquainted with them. I have a 21 year old son who has asked to meet my family.

    My friend is searching for her birth mother. She would be approx. 51 yrs. old. Her name is Beverly Wheeler and she was born in lowell, Ma. Her Dads name was tyrone Johnson. She was adopted at the age of 3 and her name is now Melanie Shanks… Anyone has info of her where abouts please contact me ….

    I am looking for my brother, his is Jason Daniel Moore, he was born 12/31/1982 to Bill Moore and Pamela A. Moore. Mother’s maiden name is O’Brien. Jason was born in Harbor City, Ca at Kaiser. We lived in Carson, CA until he was taken from my father while at school, he was 8 then. I found Jason in Riverside, CA in 1996 just before our father passed away to try to make sure they got to see each other one more time. Jason’s mother did not allow that to happen and our father died before Jason could see him. I did get to spend 2 weeks with him 3 months after our dad died and he has not been allowed to contact me since. I don’t think he would know my married name and he would be unable to find me should he be looking. I have sent letters to his last known address and they were returned. Any help would be appreciated.

    I am currently looking for my husbands father, Robert James Sprout. My husband hasn’t seen him in 15 years. I have 2 small sons who want to know their grandfather. I have been on a mission to find him, but every web site wants to charge a lot of money without a guarantee. He is around 54 and could be anywhere, if you can help I would appreciate it!

    This answer is for Cynthia LaChance. My name is Harmonie and I use Ancestry.com as a tool to locate people since I am a member anyway. It works well for the middle aged but not so well for the new generation as we all have cell phones. Anyway, I located a record for Beverly Wheeler in San Antonio Texas and her birthdate is 4 Oct 1956 however her death date is 15 Jan 2007 - San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, United States of America. I am not positive this is the person you are looking for but it matched the description you gave.

    To Harmonie Ponder: Do you think that you an help me? I already know my birthmothers name at the time of my birth, however I am sure that she has since married. I am becoming very discouraged in my search. My adopted name is Steven Fahey, my birth mothers name is SANDY OLSON and her family is from Marysville WA. SHe was 15 in 1977.

    My mother was from Marysville WA at the time of her pregnancy, and then her family sent her to CA to have the baby (me) and I beleive that she returned to WA.

    I went to marysville highschool today and I am convinced that the Sandy Olson that was on my adoption paperwork was my BM’s mother. I am narrowing in on a Jenise Olson, also from Marysville and she was in the yearbooks, but I am stuck and I am not sure where to go next in my search. Can you check ancestry.com for Jenise Olson and possibly her mothers name of Sandy Olson?

    Is there a way (free) to find out about my birth parents? They were not married at the time….. in college I believe. How would I go about doing a search. I see all these “for a fee” sites, but seems like there should be a way to search for free?

    I am trying to help my husband find his birthmother, his name is Steven Fahey and he was born in Torrance CA on 08/29/77 and we know that his mother’s maiden name was OLSON and that she was from Marysville, WA, and today we went and looked at the yearbooks from the junior high and high school and there was a Patricia Olson that was there for 76-77 but gone for 77-78 and then returned for 78-79, so I am thinking that this could be his mom. Can you help me find anymore information on her?

    I just found out about 6 months ago that my father is not my birth father, that he adopted me when I was 3 and had my birth certificate changed. I was born 7/9/80 to Gary Finn and Edna Marshall in Houston, TX. Gary Finn’s last known location by my mother is Euless, TX, but she hasn’t heard from him since just after my adoption. He is somewhere between 55-60 years old. I am about to have a child of my own now and would like to know something about the other half of my family. I wouldn’t be opposed to meeting my birth father, I would really just like to know that he can be found. Thanks for anything at all!
